Asus has announced a new convertible laptop Vivobook S 16 Flip OLED (TP3604). As the name suggests, it has a 16-inch OLED monitor, the hinge of which rotates 360 °: you can turn it inside out, turning it into a tablet from a laptop.
The screen has a resolution of 3.2K (3200 × 2000 pixels) and supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. Claimed coverage of 100% DCI-P3 color space. The display is touch-sensitive, and input is possible both with fingers and styluses (4096 degrees of pressure are recognized). The panel is protected from scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT (a special version of Gorilla Glass for laptops).
Responsible for performance is the 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor. It is complemented by up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (3200 MHz), the drive is PCIe 3.0 SSD (capacity 1 TB in the maximum configuration).
Vivobook S 16 Flip OLED supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. The set of connectors is quite standard: one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, USB-A 2.0, HDMI 2.1 and 3.5 mm for headphones.
Keyboard with 1.4mm key travel is backlit. Harman/Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support are responsible for the sound. The battery capacity is 70 Wh (the same as the new 14-inch Macbook Pro, for the 16-inch version 100 Wh). The device weighs 1.9 kg.
Three versions will be available: without a pre-installed OS, with Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro. The price and timing of the release of new items has not yet been reported.
