TechRadar named the 9 most anticipated smartphones of 2023
Miscellaneous / / April 03, 2023
Editors of the famous online publication TechRadar amounted to list of the most anticipated smartphones of 2023. Of course, among them are only flagships, but there are also not quite ordinary models, the release of which is still in question.
The most anticipated smartphones of 2023
Samsung Galaxy S23
Galaxy S23 flagships are likely to be the most popular in the first half of 2023. They should be presented at the beginning of February.
According to the leaks, the Galaxy S23 Ultra can get a 200-megapixel camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The same chip will be in the other two smartphones in the series. In general, the design of new items will not differ much from current smartphones of the line.
Google Pixel 8
Google Pixel 7 was released only in October 2022, but it and the Pixel 7 Pro turned out to be so good that we can’t wait to see the Pixel 8, noted TechRadar.
What will surprise new Google, is still unknown. We can only assume that there will be a new Tensor 3 chip, support for satellite communications and 12 GB of RAM.
Google Pixel Fold
The foldable Pixel should finally be released in 2023, either in the first quarter or in May. And judging by the rumors, it may have a 7.6-inch main OLED screen, a 5.8-inch external display, and a Tensor chipset.
Insiders also mentioned camera improvements and the debut of a new version of the Pixel launcher for foldable Android devices.
iPhone 15 Ultra
In 2023, Apple may release an Ultra version of the iPhone for the first time, which will replace the potential iPhone 15 Pro Max. This novelty will have the most top-end cameras, a long-range periscope for optical zoom, as well as a capacious battery and titanium case.
It probably won't come out until September 2023, if it comes out at all. But we can say with confidence that this will be the most expensive Apple smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
The new generation Galaxy Z Fold 5 will probably be presented only in August. This smartphone should offer another improvement in the hinge mechanism and flexible screen, which will allow it to strengthen its position as a segment leader.
Xiaomi 13 Pro
Actually Xiaomi 13 Pro is already announced, but it's only available in China for now, with a global launch expected in early 2023. The device is really interesting, and it is worth the wait.
Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and a frequency of 120 Hz, a 4,820 mAh battery with wired 120W charging and 50W wireless, 50-megapixel camera with 1-inch sensor, top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 12 GB of RAM memory.
Sony Xperia IV
According to TechRadar experts, Sony Xperia IV was one of the most interesting phones of 2022, thanks also to the continuous optical zoom camera. This is a feature that you won't find on smartphones from other brands.
So far, the new Xperia I V has not been announced, but it is expected to offer the same unusual cameras for professionals, as well as a great screen and flagship hardware. It is worth waiting for it in the middle of 2023.
One Plus 11
This new smartphone should be presented on January 4th. The web has official renders and almost all key characteristics.
Despite the lack of a Pro, Plus or Ultra suffix in the name, it will be a top flagship that should compete with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus or Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
Samsung's smaller and more affordable foldable novelty should be even more attractive due to less a noticeable wrinkle at the curve and an increase in the external display to 3.3 or 3.4 inches (up from 1.9 inch y Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4).
But to stay at the top of the clamshell segment, Samsung will have to surprise with something else. Otherwise, new OPPO And Motorola can grab all the attention.
