In 2022, the trend of recent years continued - it was more interesting to follow Russian TV series than Russian cinema. They do not always have more originality, but definitely more life and a desire to express themselves - it is the series that give chances to young screenwriters and directors who do not want to compromise with the industry.

"Black Spring" attracts both with its original plot, and with the accurate transfer of the atmosphere of the province, and with the vivid images created by the young actors, and with its uncompromising, biting, stylishness. Therefore, we recognized it as the best Russian series of the outgoing year.

Quarrels between doctors who do not understand the consequences of an infection, bureaucratic delays, people's distrust of each other - a lot of reasons lead to terrible consequences. The series is attentive to details and retells one of the most terrible stories of the late USSR as authentically as possible.

Aurora is somewhat reminiscent of the animated series Bojack Horseman. The actress, who became a star as a child, turned into an alcoholic by the age of 25.
