If you change the window size FinderAnd then close it, a new window will be the same size and will open in the same location. It always has been, but OS X Yosemite Some users have experienced a situation where the Finder does not remember the size and position of windows and all new windows open or too small or too large. This is very inconvenient and fucking annoying. Fortunately there is a solution.
If you search well on the web, it turns out that this problem is quite common. As it offer some solutions to remove some configuration File Finder. It's not scary, but rather troublesome and, in fact, unnecessary. We'll go in a simpler way.
So, we need to do this:
- Open a new Finder window and configure its size and position as needed.
- Now close all the windows using the shortcut c Command+Option+W or click on the "cross" of any window while holding Option.
- Restart the Finder, hold down the OptionAnd do right click on the Finder icon in the Dock, and then select "Restart."
Icon will flash on your desktop, and it will be a signal that our trick worked. Finder now begin to remember the size and position of windows, opening new window with the same settings.
