Apple cancels Shantaram after season 1

Drama seriesShantaramon Apple TV+ starring Charlie Hunnam (The Gentlemen) won't get a second season. The final episode of the first, which aired on December 16, will be the finale. About it writes deadline.
Based on an epic novel by Gregory David Roberts of over 900 pages, Shantaram was an ambitious and massive project filmed on two continents.
The show, like the book, focuses on a former writer named Lindsay. After being sentenced to a long prison term in Australia, he manages to escape from custody and moves to India, where he intends to build a new life.
Shantaram debuted on Apple TV+ on October 14 to mixed reviews. The freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes is currently 56% from critics and 82% from viewers.
