Windows 11 Task Manager now has a search for processes
Miscellaneous / / April 03, 2023
Microsoft released a fresh preview build of Windows 11 for testers. One of the main changes in it was the appearance of the search bar in the Task Manager.
With its help, users will be able to quickly find the desired process, which will be useful if the number of active tasks is in the tens. Also, the search will help filter out several processes to keep them in front of your eyes.
You can search for processes by name, executable file name, or by ID (PID). You can use the keyboard shortcut ALT + F to quickly jump to the search bar.
Also in the latest assembly, the ability to use the preferred interface theme in the Task Manager has been added - regardless of the active theme in Windows. You can set it on the settings page - dark, light or system.
So far, these are all pre-build innovations, but with one of the system updates, they can become available to all Windows 11 users.
