Miscellaneous / / April 03, 2023
The length of service will be taken into account in the same way as in compulsory social insurance.
From July 1, 2023, a draft law on a new model of voluntary social insurance in case of illness will come into force in Russia, including for the self-employed, who will be able to choose the amount of payments themselves. About it writes TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
The insurer will be the Social Fund of Russia. A citizen will be able to independently choose a special sum insured, from which insurance payments are established. It can be 32,484 rubles (2 minimum wages for a full month) or 48,726 rubles (3 minimum wages). The amount of the monthly contribution will be 1247 rubles 38 kopecks per month and 1871 rubles, respectively.
The right to pay insurance benefits for the insured person appears after 6 months of continuous payment of contributions. If a citizen for a long time does not use payments for voluntary social insurance, then the amount of contributions will be reduced: after 18 months without insured events - by 10%, and after 24 months - by 30%.
The length of service in voluntary insurance will be taken into account in the same way as in compulsory insurance. If it is less than 5 years, then 60% of the insured earnings are paid, if from 5 to 8 years - then 80%, more than 8 years - 100%. The length of service acquired during the period of employment is also taken into account in voluntary social insurance.
The bill proposes to provide for the possibility of vacations on payments during periods of temporary disability, as well as the ability to skip one monthly payment every 6 months of continuous payment of contributions.
