NordPass named the 200 most popular passwords in 2022

The top ten remains virtually unchanged.
Service NordPass published a fresh list of the most common passwords. In it, despite the growing awareness of cybersecurity, the most simple and well-known words and character sets are still in the lead.
This is what the top ten most popular passwords in the world look like:

- guest
- qwerty
- 12345678
- 111111
- 12345
- col123456
- 123123
Almost all of these passwords can be cracked in less than a second, the developers note. Among the more difficult options included in the top 200: D1lakiss (21 lines and 3 hours to hack), Groupd2013 (46 lines and 3 hours to crack), 9136668099 (53 lines and 4 days to crack), marseille (168th place and 1 day).
Some more interesting passwords: qwertyuiop (line 36), 1qaz2wsx (line 55), luzit2000 (line 64), samsung (line 78), pokemon (line 107), googledummy (line 145), bonjour (line 199).
The list was compiled in partnership with independent researchers specializing in the study of cybersecurity incidents. They evaluated a 3 TB database and compiled an overall password prevalence rating, including a breakdown by country.
