Honor Unveils Three New MagicBook Laptops With 90Hz Screens

Honor Brand showed new laptops in the MagicBook line: MagicBook V 14 2022, MagicBook X 14 and MagicBook X 16. All devices received Windows 11 and metal cases with an already recognizable design.

Honor MagicBook V 14 2022

This novelty is equipped with a 14.2-inch 2.5K (2520×1680 pixels) touchscreen display, full sRGB color space coverage, 400 nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 90 refresh rate Hz. Gesture control is supported using a 5-megapixel webcam, as well as face recognition.

The base version uses an Intel Core i5-12500H processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.5 GHz and 12 cores - four of them are responsible for performance, the remaining eight are for energy efficiency. Integrated graphics - Intel Iris Xe. A more powerful version will be released later with the Core i7-12700H.

RAM - 16 GB, SSD - 512 GB. The device is equipped with adapters Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (2.4, 5 and 6 GHz), NFC and Bluetooth 5.2, as well as a fingerprint scanner and four speakers. Among the connectors on the case: HDMI 2.0b, two USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone port.

New dimensions: 310.28 × 226.6 × 16.95 mm, weight - 1.48 kg. Battery life is claimed to be up to 14 hours without recharge. Charging - from a compact 65 W adapter. The price of the base model is $860 (≈52,100 rubles).

Honor MagicBook X 14/16 2022

These laptops are almost identical, except for the screen sizes: 14 and 16 inches. In both cases, the panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio and fairly narrow bezels.

The 14-inch version received a 2.2K display (2240×1400 pixels), while the MagicBook X 16 got a more modest FHD panel with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. Both support 100% sRGB gamut coverage and feature a 90Hz refresh rate.

Laptops also run on the Intel Alder Lake platform. Choice of Core i5-12500H (12 cores, up to 4.5GHz max) or Core i5-1235U (10 cores, up to 4.4GHz) with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The amount of RAM is 16 GB, the capacity of the SSD is 512 GB. Both models feature a 720p webcam, stereo speakers, IEEE Wi-Fi dongles 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5.1, as well as USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB Type-C, HDMI 1.4b and 3.5mm jack ports for headphones.

The cost of laptops depends on the processor, not on the diagonal of the screen: any option with Core i5-1235U will cost $670 (≈41,000 rubles), and the version with the Core i5-12500H will cost $715 (≈43,500 rubles).
