RuStore wants to be fully integrated into Android

The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia is going to oblige smartphone manufacturers not just to pre-install the application store RuStore, and deeply implement it into the system - up to the offer of registration when you first turn on the device. About it writes "Kommersant".

The department has already submitted a draft resolution, which states that RuStore should be integrated with the operating system to no lesser extent than the store of the phone or OS manufacturer itself. It must have the same system permissions as other stores.

The manufacturer must also provide the ability to automatically update programs through RuStore, the background operation of its services for sending push notifications and payments.

Also, some provisions of the new rules describe functions that are not even available in RuStore yet. For example, a smartphone manufacturer will have to ensure the operation of contactless payments built into a Russian store. Such functionality is available in the Mir Pay application, but not in RuStore, so some experts believe that these services will soon be merged.
