Tesla showed the production of the Optimus robot: it is assembled by the same humanoid robots

We saw one film, and there such "reproduction" ended badly.
Last fall, Tesla unveiled prototypes of the Optimus humanoid robots. But then they were only suitable for jokes - they moved around the stage on a cart and waved unnaturally to the audience. More, in fact, they could not do anything. This week the company Ilona Mask showed an improved version of her android.
Now Optimus is based on parts and mechanisms not from third-party manufacturers, as it was before, but the company's own developments. He already walks without assistance, and in addition to waving his hand, he also knows how to carry objects and use tools.
The company on video showed the process of assembling a new generation of robots. And if you believe the image, they are collected by the same androids as they are. We are shown how Optimus #1 takes a robotic arm from the table and brings it to Optimus #2, who screws the robotic limb onto Optimus #3 with a wrench. Then they go for a walk.
Musk confirmed that Optimus uses the same artificial intelligence that is used in Tesla cars. They will have the ability to learn.
Not so useful is a humanoid robot that needs to be programmed for every option.

CEO of Tesla and SpaceX
Optimus is being developed with protection against the so-called uprising of the machines. Therefore, its speed is limited to 8 km / h, and it can carry a maximum of 20 kilograms. The robot weighs about 57 kilograms. With such characteristics, in case of potential danger, an adult will be able to overcome him or simply run away.
