We'll show you how to install and use them.
For several years now, Huawei smartphones have been released without Google services. For active users of YouTube, Drive or Gmail, this became a real problem, but solutions were not long in coming.
First, the owners of the company's smartphones switched to not very convenient web versions of applications, then they began to use virtual space with an account, and more recently, a much simpler and more reliable way to return Google services to devices has appeared Huawei. The necessary programs are now available directly in the native AppGallery.
Now, if you type in the store, for example, YouTube or "Google Photos”, you will immediately see them in the list of programs. When installing, AppGallery will prompt you to first download GBox ("Jibox") - this is a utility that is necessary for their work from an independent developer.
It is through GBox that all programs will work. It is enough to log in once through the official Google account confirmation form - and all the services you download will see your account.
And in comparison with the same Gspace, which many used to access Google applications earlier, GBox is many times more convenient and faster. With it, you do not need to constantly go into a third-party utility and select an application to launch, you can forget about GBox altogether and open already installed applications through standard icons on the desktop table.
The experience of using the services is almost seamless, as if there were no Google restrictions. For Huawei smartphones, this is a real step forward, which is definitely pleasing.
While GBox supports a limited number of programs, but their list is gradually expanding. Google services currently include:
- google,
- youtube,
- YouTube Music,
- Google Photos,
- google drive,
- "Google Sheets"
- "Google Slides"
- «Google Docs»,
- "Google Maps"
- "Google Class"
- Google One,
- Google Earth.
You can also run a number of other popular applications from major developers through GBox. Among them: WhatsApp, Twitter, Zoom, Discord, Spotify, SoundCloud, OneDrive, Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, Pinterest, Twitch, Line, Duolingo, Steam, Airbnb and more.
The entire list of available programs can be viewed in the GBox application itself, but they will also be visible in the AppGallery with a direct search. The list of compatible services will grow in the near future, so missing tools like Gmail may still appear, closing all the gaps.
