Film critics have already received the first 4 episodes of the season for viewing and shared their feedback. They are predominantly positive Metacritic the season has an average score of 77 points out of 100. Here's what the critics said.
1. “In Season 3, Ted Lasso is back in shape. It's the serial equivalent of a cup of hot tea and a soft blanket, and a successful hat-trick for Apple TV+." Collider
2. “Although there were moments when the third season repeated certain themes and jokes, the first four episodes hold high standards in every aspect, from great acting to a well-balanced script and a stream of pop culture references," Chicago Sun Times
3. “If you're looking for a show that has found its rhythm, with characters that won't stray too far off the beaten path, season 3 is for you. If you expect the series to change and adapt, then you are in for a bitter disappointment, ” TV Guide
4. “Ted's appeal is now beginning to fade - the mustache is not able to make the viewer laugh forever. His lines can get crazy, but the third season is saved by Nick Mohammed as Nate. At the moment, the show works best when Ted is on the bench." The Telegraph
5. “'Ted Lasso' knows exactly what he's doing. It purrs as smoothly as the luxury car Rupert rewards Nate with for vilifying Ted at the press conference. It dilutes the sweetness just enough to make it not disgustingly cloying. And the main character is kept at the right level of a simple guy, not belittling him to the level of a village idiot, ” The Guardian
