The new technology may appear in the iPhone along with the invisible front camera.
Apple continues to develop an in-display fingerprint sensor for the iPhone. Touch ID of the new format may appear in the first full-screen model without cutouts, reported on the site of the Korean platform Naver.
According to insiders, Apple will release a smartphone with Touch ID under the display within two to three years. That is, around 2026. This could happen immediately after the debut of under-screen Face ID sensors, or at the same time as them.
It is also reported that this week the Cupertino company received a patent to the sub-screen Touch ID with a system that combines shortwave infrared technology and an optical imaging system. The latter function not only reads the user's fingerprint through the display, but also determines the pattern of veins, blood oxygen saturation and pulse. It works even with wet fingers.
Recall: authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo reported back in September 2021 that Apple
tests under-screen fingerprint scanner on select iPhone 13 models. He later wrote that the company is unlikely to release a smartphone with the new technology before 2025.Read also🧐
