What is Windows 11 Tiny11

Windows 11 Tiny11 is an unofficial, stripped-down build of Microsoft's regular Windows 11 made by enthusiasts. Numerous built-in tools and features have been removed from it, making the system suitable for use on low-end computers.

The minimum system requirements for full Windows 11 are 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of disk space. And Windows 11 Tiny11 can run on computers with 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM.

This means that with its help you can "revive" your old laptop, lying idle. Or save some space if you're the proud owner of a device with a 128 GB SSD and every megabyte counts.

Of course, Linux is an even less voracious system, especially since there are special distributions for old PCs. But Windows 11 Tiny11 compares favorably with them in the amount of supported software - it is still a complete system that allows you to install Photoshop and other programs that are not available in Linux.

However, you should not install Windows 11 Tiny11 as the main system on a new device, because there may be compatibility issues with new games and resource-demanding software.

How to install Windows 11 Tiny11

Preparing for installation

open developer page Windows 11 Tiny11 in the Internet Archive and click the Log in to view this item button.

Sign in to the Archive account with your Google account or create a new one, whichever you prefer.

Choose in which form you prefer to download Windows 11 Tiny11 - via a torrent client or an ISO image from a server. The first option is usually faster.

Installing Windows 11 Tiny11

Installed Windows 11 Tiny 11 is exactly the same as Windows 11 or Ten. After the installation wizard appears and prompts you to select a language, click Next. Tiny11 does not support the installation of the Russian language, it can be added later.

Check the box to accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

Now select the drive where you want to install the system and click Next. If Windows 11 says the disk is too small to install, ignore the message by clicking OK.

Wait for the system to install.

Please indicate which country you are in. Or leave the States - this can be changed later. Click Yes.

Leave the English layout: you will need it to add an account. Click Yes. Then add a Russian layout if you like, or any other. Click Next and Add layout.

Enter your name, click Next. Then choose a password or leave the field blank and click Next again.

Click Next several times to accept the Microsoft terms, then Accept.

Wait for a while and the Windows 11 desktop will appear in front of you.

How to set up Windows 11 Tiny11

After the installation of Windows 11 Tiny11 is completed, you will have a regular desktop in front of you. But if you open File Explorer, you will find that the system is now taking up about 4 GB. For comparison, uncut Windows 11 fills up about 40 GB of disk space, so the difference is obvious.

Now you can add Russian or another language to the system if you need. To do this, click Start → Settings → Time & language. Click Add a language, select Russian and click Next.

Now click Install as my Windows default language, then Install.

Wait for the language installation to complete.

Now click on Windows Update and install the accumulated updates, and then restart your computer.

Finally, you need to install a browser. Click Start → Microsoft Store and type Firefox, Opera, or Edge in the search bar. Chrome is not here, but it can be installed later through another browser. Select the appropriate option and click "Get".
