With a fair reward system for authors and exclusive bonuses for fans.
The loud return of Winamp is approaching: after two years of development to launch getting ready new version of the player with streaming support. An international launch is planned soon: on March 15, the service will become available for musicians, and from April 15, ordinary users will also have access to it.
The creators claim that the main feature of their service will be openness and honesty towards the authors of music. To do this, Winamp will offer a Fanzone section, a space where musicians can share exclusive content and various bonuses with fans in exchange for a monthly subscription.
Musicians will be able to determine their own subscription levels and their cost. They will receive 85% of the proceeds from subscriptions and purchases from their fans. Thanks to this, more than a million musicians have already joined the streaming.
Fanzone will be available as part of the app along with music, podcasts, radio and audiobooks. In June, the service plans to add new tools for digital distribution, license management (through its subsidiary Bringer) and NFT.
The updated Winamp will be available on Android, iOS, Windows and web. There are no plans to support macOS yet.
