Twitter founder Jack Dorsey launches Bluesky
Miscellaneous / / April 02, 2023
The same Twitter, but with one important difference.
Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey launched Bluesky. This is far from a new project, it has been developed within the company for a long time, but only now the service has switched to a beta version and appeared in the App Store. About it writes tech crunch.
Decentralization has become the main feature of Bluesky, the service operates on the basis of the Authenticated Transfer Protocol (AT) open standard on an independent server. Simply put, the project does not belong to a specific business, which means that the impact on user actions will be minimal.
As TechCrunch writes, Bluesky practically copies Twitter in its capabilities. Here are the same text publications for 256 characters, the function of attaching a photo and the ability to subscribe to users. Likes, reposts, comments are also in place.
While the application is available only by invitation, but the appearance in the Apple store may indicate an imminent full release.
