It's cheaper and also glows, but that's where the benefits end.
The Chinese company Unihertz brought to the MWC 2023 a new smartphone called Luna. Unlike previous devices of the brand, which were push-button and / or protected, the novelty has become a budget clone Nothing Phone (1) by Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus. Both devices share the same feature: a transparent back panel through which LEDs shine through.
Despite the similar idea and appearance, Luna noticeably loses to Phone (1) in terms of performance. It uses a Helio G99 processor and 8/256 GB of memory (the drive is UFS 2.2), there is no 5G support. The camera is triple, but there are few details about it. It is only known that the main module is 108 megapixels, an additional one with night vision at 20 megapixels and macro at 2 megapixels. The front camera is S5KGD1 from Samsung at 32 megapixels.
The 5,000mAh battery supports up to 18W fast charging. There is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and an additional key, the purpose of which the user can set independently. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 12.
At the exhibition with Luna posed and Carl Pei himself, comparing it to Phone(1):
Unihertz Luna will go on sale in March. The exact price is not specified - it is only known that the smartphone will cost less than $ 300, while Nothing Phone (1) costs about $ 500 in the basic version of 8/128 GB.
