Tecno launches its first foldable smartphone, the Phantom V Fold

It is cheaper than analogues, but it is difficult to call it affordable.
The Chinese company Tecno has announced its first smartphone with a folding screen. The model, called the Phantom V Fold, is made in the form factor of a book and is an analogue of the Galaxy Z Fold.
The device weighs a considerable 299 grams. There is no visible masonry when folded. The thickness of the unfolded case is only 6.9 mm.
The external screen of the smartphone is 6.42 inches diagonally with a resolution of 2550 × 1080 pixels. Internal, drop-down when turning the gadget, 7.85 inches with a resolution of 2296 × 2000 pixels. In both cases, AMOLED matrices with a refresh rate of 120 Hz are used.
The heart of the device is an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip, complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory. Battery – 5000mAh with 45W fast charging. It takes 55 minutes to fully recharge, and 40% of the charge is replenished in 15 minutes.
The main camera offers a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. There are two selfie modules: in the external screen at 32 megapixels and in the internal one at 16 megapixels.
Among other things: fingerprint scanner in the side frame, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, glass Gorilla Glass Victus for external display, plus support for Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, NFC, and eSIM.
Tecno Phantom V Fold debuts in India in the second quarter of this year with a price of 89,999 rupees (≈82,000 rubles).
