Google announces 9 new features for Android and Wear OS

At Mobile World Congress 2023 currently taking place in Barcelona, ​​Google announced 9 innovations for Android and Wear OS. Distribution of some functions starts today, February 27th. Here's what to expect first:

• Google Drive will allow you to add handwritten annotations on Android smartphones and tablets. You can draw with a stylus or with your finger.
• Google Meet will get noise cancellation, which will filter out background sounds when making a call.
• Gboard keyboard will get Emoji Kitchen, a tool for creating unique emoji combinations that can be sent to other users in the form of stickers.
• Chrome on Android will allow you to increase pages up to 300% - including text: pictures, videos, and even interactive elements. At the same time, the main markup of the site should be preserved. So far, this is only available in beta, but will gradually be released in the stable version.

The following features will be added later:

• Google Keep will have a widget to manage notes and lists. It will display reminders, colors, and images from the app, and it will also sync with Wear OS.

• The watch version of Google Keep will receive two new elements for watch faces - buttons for quickly creating notes and lists.
• Two new display and sound modes in Wear OS: mono sound will be useful for users who disorientates the stereo, and the black-and-white screen will help people with color blindness and other problems better orientate color perception.
• Chromebooks will get Fast Pair support for quickly connecting headphones to a laptop. If your headphones are already paired with your smartphone, they can connect to your Chromebook automatically.
• Google Wallet will get new animations for contactless payments in physical stores.

Google has not yet disclosed the release dates of the features from the second list.
