Major Galaxy S23 update improves camera performance

New flagships Samsung Galaxy S23 offer impressive cameras, but on release, users still noted minor problems in their work. Samsung listened to the comments and released an update that fixes bugs and improves overall performance.

We are talking about the latest version of the S91xNKSU1AWC8 firmware, which has so far been released only in South Korea, but should soon become available to users from other regions.

Here is the full list of camera-related changes:

• The Gallery application now allows you to delete photos instantly, even if they have not yet been processed.
• The autofocus algorithm has been redesigned. When the user presses the capture button, the camera takes a photo, even if the frame is not yet in focus. This can be changed in the Camera Assistant app settings to prioritize focus over speed.
• Improved sharpness and reduced flickering when shooting video with the ultra wide-angle camera in low light conditions with Super Steady mode. At the same time, they added a notification that this mode requires good lighting for the best image quality.

• Fixed a bug where a green bar was displayed on the left side of the screen while taking a selfie.
• Improved video stabilization when shooting in Full HD 60 fps when using the main camera.
• Fixed an issue with streaks that appeared in the sky in medium and low ambient light when shooting in high resolution (50 or 200 MP). Also improved the overall sharpness when shooting in high resolution.
• Eliminated intermittent blur by improving the performance of optical stabilization.
• Fixed a problem with photo quality when shooting without night mode in high resolution with frame rate priority.
• Fixed an issue with face recognition after video calls through third-party apps.
• Improved the stability of the Camera app when capturing moving objects.

It is not yet known when the global version of this update will be released. SamMobile suggeststhat it will be released along with the April security patch - that is, in the coming days.
