Rotten Tomatoes Names Top 100 Movies Under 3 Hours Longest

Rotten Tomatoes has chosen the 100 best films that are over 3 hours long. The entire history of cinema was taken into account, from the era of silent films to the present day.

Topping the list was the Japanese drama "seven samurai"(1954) Akira Kurosawa. The film tells about the civil war in Japan in the 16th century.

In second place was the documentary "O. Jay: Made in America (2016), tells the story of a popular American athlete and actor who was accused of killing his ex-wife.

Rounding out the top 3 is Witches' Sabbat in the Dark Woods: A Folk Horror Story (2021). This is a documentary that explores folk horrors.

The authors of the ranking point out that Martin Scorsese "uses the audience's attention most effectively." Immediately six of his films were in the rating, including "Irish» 2019.
