A special cuff-clothespin is designed to make life easier for people with limited mobility: there is no need to tighten or adjust anything.
Xiaomi has announced a new device within the Mijia ecosystem - the Smart Electronic Blood Pressure Monitor.
The novelty uses a cuff with a clip, which is easy to use. Instead of tightening it again each time, it is enough to adjust the “clothespin” once. After that, the cuff can be put on in two quick movements.
The tonometer received a 3.7-inch display, which allows you to display all the necessary information in large print. The built-in battery is enough for 3 months of battery life with two pressure measurements daily. There is a USB-C port for charging.
Since any movement can affect the accuracy of the measurement, the tonometer will warn of incorrect cuff position or excessive movement. To do this, he reads the fluctuations in the cuff. Xiaomi also claims that the tonometer uses a unique algorithm for high-precision pressure measurement, adjusted for the physiological parameters of the user.
Like all Mijia devices, the blood pressure monitor can be connected to the Mi Home app. Here you can view measurement graphs and monitor the dynamics. Whether it is possible to separate data for different users has not yet been reported.
Xiaomi Mijia Smart Electronic Blood Pressure Monitor will appear on the Youpin crowdfunding platform on February 15, where it can be pre-ordered at a price of 199 yuan (≈2,200 rubles). Later, the device will go on open sale, but already for 269 yuan (≈2,900 rubles).
