Spotlight in iOS extremely useful. Previous list located on the left of the first screen, however, after iOS 7, access to it is performed simple swipe down on any of the home screens, making the use of faster and more Spotlight convenient. You can customize your search to fit your needs, to find the necessary objects much faster.
This can be done by disabling the display of the results for the features that you do not use, or change the order of applications that run most often. Spotlight gives results from the list in one of the most popular categories: applications, contacts, music, podcasts, and more.
To change the order of categories and search results, go to Settings> General> Spotlight Search. By default, all possible locations for Spotlight search are included, as evidenced by the blue tick all elements. Turn off your unwanted items, remove a tick with a single click. Drag the items with the anchor on the right side to change the order of the results.
Note that disabling the search for applications do not turn off the search in each of them. For example, you'll be able to access Notes and to search for their notes, pulling down the list with recordings are hereby entering a search string.
