Face ID and battery life: an insider told what the 4th generation iPhone SE will be
Miscellaneous / / August 30, 2022
We will finally get the device we expected to see this spring.
Famous leaker Jon Prosser in the new episode of the Geared Up podcast toldwhat to expect from the next iPhone SE. According to his sources, Apple's next budget smartphone will be based on the iPhone XR.
This will give users Face ID, a larger 6.1-inch LCD display, and more impressive battery life. Of the minuses - the camera will remain single.
Prosser did not specify a possible release date for the device, but now Apple updates its line of budget smartphones every two years, so a release in 2024 sounds quite realistic. By then, the 2018 iPhone XR will be completely obsolete, but Apple is unlikely to be embarrassed: after all, the current iPhone SE relies on the design of the iPhone 6 eight years ago.
If the timing is correct, the inside of the smartphone will have the same processor as in iPhone 15. Considering that from this year the company plans to stop equipping the base flagships with new processors, it is highly likely that we are talking about the A16 Bionic - like in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15.
