Russia approved a list of services for pre-installation on smartphones, PCs and TVs in 2023

The Government of the Russian Federation approved the list of mobile applications and programs for mandatory pre-installation on smartphones, tablets, computers and smart TVs from January 1, 2023. The relevant order is already signed Prime Minister.
So, Yandex is defined as the default search engine, and among applications for smartphones and tablets, the following are selected:
- Yandex Browser, Yandex Maps, 2GIS, Yandex Disk;
- Mail.ru Mail, ICQ, Marusya voice assistant, Mail.ru News, OK Life;
- social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki;
- MirPay payment system;
- "Public Services";
- "MyOffice Documents";
- antivirus "Kaspersky Lab";
- book service "LitRes".
Manufacturers of stationary PCs, laptops and monoblocks will have to install Yandex Browser, MyOffice and Kaspersky Lab antivirus on all devices.
The list for Smart TV manufacturers includes: Yandex, Rutube, VK Video, online cinemas ivi, Premier, Kinopoisk, Wink, Okko, more.tv, Start, Channel One, NTV and Watch applications.
