Anker Unveils 24,000mAh PowerCore 24K GaN Power Bank
Miscellaneous / / August 12, 2022
The maximum charging power is 140W. Suitable even for MacBook Pro.
Anker has traditionally focused on Apple device users. The company issues Accessories for MagSafe, hub for iMac with M1 and other devices for "apple" fans. Unsurprisingly, the new power bank is also advertised with Apple users in mind: Anker claims that it's a great way to recharge your MacBook on the go (although laptops from Dell, Samsung, and other brands supported).
When using the MagSafe cable, the 16-inch MacBook Pro can be charged to 50% in just 40 minutes at power 140 W with Power Delivery 3.1. The technology is supported in both USB-C connectors, their capabilities are equivalent. There is also USB-A with a maximum power of 18W. To protect against overheating, ActiveShield 2.0 technology is provided.
Another feature of the PowerCore 24K is a really informative display. It shows the charge level in percent, the power used by each of the ports, as well as the time to fully discharge or charge. By the way, the maximum input power is also 140 W, so you won’t have to charge the power bank for half a day.
Anker PowerCore 24K was priced at $150 (≈9,100 rubles). It has already gone on sale in the US, and should soon reach AliExpress.
