The showrunner promises the same emotions that people experienced when they first saw the films of Ridley Scott and James Cameron.
The Alien series, which has been rescheduled several times, is still alive. Moreover, work on the project is progressing steadily. During a recent TV Critics Association press tour, FX CEO John Landgraf toldthat Alien showrunner Noah Hawley, also known to viewers from the TV series Fargo, has completed work on the script.
Filming is slated to begin in 2023. And according to the creators, the series will continue the tradition of the first two films of the franchise, released in 1979 and 1986. He will be just as creepy and tense, capable excite.
At the same time, the project will not become a blind repetition of well-known techniques. Hawley did not use characters from the original 1996 film in the TV reboot of Fargo—and the same is to be expected with Alien. The only exception, of course, would be xenomorph, the appearance of which will definitely take place.
Landgraf added that the series will feature references to the fictional Weyland-Yutani Corporation, for which Alien is known to this day, but that another organization will play a central role.
Recall that this will be the first project in the history of the franchise, the events of which will unfold on Earth. The time of action is the end of the 21st century.
