Samsung will release Galaxy S23 only with Qualcomm processor, but will not refuse Exynos
Miscellaneous / / July 29, 2022
Now it has been officially confirmed.
Previously we have heard Rumor has it that Samsung will release the Galaxy S23 in 2023 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in all markets and will not use its own Exynos chipsets. Moreover, the same fate may befall the Galaxy S24, which will be released in early 2024. Despite this, at the presentation of the results of the second quarter of 2022, Samsung announcedthat this does not mean a complete rejection of Exynos.
On the contrary, a new proprietary chip for the Galaxy S series is already in development, and the "best team" of more than a thousand people is working on it. According to insider reports, Exynos is planned to be reinvented by the release of flagships in 2025 - that is, two generations will indeed come out only with Snapdragon.
Now Samsung intends to reorganize its production of chipsets and focus on improving performance in the medium and long term. If everything works out, the next Exynos processor will at least be as good as Snapdragon of the same generation in terms of performance and energy efficiency.
