Devices for those who need maximum graphics performance in a compact package.
Well-known insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman informedthat 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with more powerful M2 processors are already in development. According to him, the overall design and specifications of the devices "will probably remain about the same" since Apple updated them very recently.
In the new laptops, Apple will use the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors - improved versions of the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
First tests the base M2 showed that its single-core performance improved by about 12%, and multi-core performance by 20%. In the Pro and Max versions, the main increase should be graphics, since the devices will be aimed at users who work in the field of design, photography, video editing and so on.
MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max may be available from fall 2022 to spring 2023, Gurman added. Given ongoing supply chain issues, more accurate forecasts are premature.
