You can use your voice to turn on the TV without smart functions or start the simplest air conditioner.
Xiaomi has launched the Smart Speaker IR Control in India, a smart speaker powered by Google Assistant. It has a fairly small size and has a built-in LED clock, like some "Stations" from "Yandex".
The main feature of the novelty was the IR transmitter, which allows you to control the TV with your voice, air conditioning, home acoustics and other household appliances without smart functions, but with a remote control management. This is configured through the Xiaomi Home/Mi Home app.
Inside the Smart Speaker IR Control is a 1.5-inch full-range speaker and multiple microphones. It is possible to connect a second similar speaker for a stereo effect. Chromecast support allows you to stream your music to other compatible devices.
You can control music not only with voice commands, but also with the help of physical buttons on the top panel of the case.
The clock can be hidden from the surface by setting the device to do not disturb mode. It also provides automatic adjustment of their brightness in accordance with the level of lighting in the room.
The column supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. There is no built-in battery - the device only works from the mains. With dimensions of 95 × 95 × 14 mm, it weighs 628 grams.
Xiaomi Smart Speaker IR Control price will be 4,999 rupees (≈3,700 rubles). For now, the speaker will only be available in black.
