Xiaomi introduced the Laser Projector 1S (2022)

Xiaomi has announced an update to the Laser Projector 1S launched in 2020. The second generation is almost three times cheaper, but offers 1080p resolution, while the original version supports 4K.

The projector has a throw ratio of 1.27:1 and can display images up to 150 inches in size. Supports ALPD laser display technology to improve color and picture quality. The maximum brightness is 2400 lumens, the 2020 model has a peak brightness of 2000 lumens.

A smart algorithm has been announced that decodes content in 4K and 8K for optimal picture quality. A pair of built-in 10W speakers with support for surround sound, Dolby Audio and DTS-HD is responsible for the sound.

Xiaomi claims that the projector automatically adjusts the settings for optimal viewing in all conditions. In particular, auto focus, keystone correction and auto bypass are supported. obstacles (if the picture does not fit on the canvas or runs into the soundbar from below, the projector will move or scale image). You can choose, including game with a delay of 40 ms.

The projector can be controlled via Mi Home along with other smart home gadgets from Xiaomi, voice control is also supported - however, only in Chinese via Xiao AI. To connect an image source, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and two HDMI 2.1 connectors are provided. There's also Ethernet, S/PDIF, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Everything works on MIUI for TV (Android TV with Xiaomi shell), so you can access online cinemas wirelessly.

Xiaomi Laser Projector 1S (2022) is already on sale at a price of 5,999 yuan (≈53,500 rubles). For comparison, Xiaomi Laser Projector 1S (2020) cost 14,999 yuan at launch. If you have been looking at an old model for a long time and suddenly see it at an unexpectedly low price, make sure that you have exactly the 4K version in front of you: because of the same names, it is easy to confuse the devices.
