Now only Qualcomm - smartphones will receive the best Snapdragon chip in 6 years.
Samsung may completely abandon Exynos branded chipsets in the Galaxy S23 series smartphones, which are due to be presented in the winter. About it informs authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to the source, Samsung will not use the latest Exynos 2300, developed on a 4nm process technology, since the chip cannot yet compete on equal terms with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8550).
By words another insider, Ice Universe, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be a very successful solution, as it has “the best power efficiency in the last 6 years.” Smartphones with it will have a lower level of heating, as well as smoother and more stable operation.
Previously, Samsung used to release flagships with different chips for different markets. As a percentage, it turned out to be approximately 70% (Qualcomm) by 30% (Exynos). Models with proprietary processors were imported into Russia.
