'Stranger Things' creators are working on adaptations of Stephen King's 'Death Note' and 'The Talisman'

The Duffer Brothers, creators of Stranger Things launch your own production studio. She received the name Upside Down ("Inside Out").

The first projects that the company will be engaged in are already known:

• A brand new TV adaptation of the famous Japanese manga and anime Death Note. With the Netflix series of the same name, which turned out to be a failure, the new show will not be connected.
• Original series by Jeffrey Eddis and Will Matthews, creators of The Dark Crystal: Ages of Resistance.
• Serial adaptation of the novel Stephen King and Peter Straub's The Talisman. The project will be handled by Curtis Gwynn, one of the producers of Stranger Things.
• Theatrical production based on the mythology of Stranger Things. It will be directed by Sonya Friedman and Stephen Daldry (The Crown, Billy Elliot, The Reader).
• A spin-off of Stranger Things based on an original idea by the Duffer Brothers. They previously said that he will not connected to the plot of the original show.

Deadline also writesthat Upside Down will be directed by Hilary Leavitt, who worked on Ozark, The Shining, and The Great.
