Poll: Which book characters are your role models?

Book services "LitRes" and MyBook held among its users, a study designed to identify which book characters they consider to be role models. Of the 1,500 books surveyed by heroes, 86% are inspired, and almost 82% believe that even negative characters can become role models if the reader shares the same values and views.
As for specific characters, Sherlock Holmes, Hermione Grager and the Little Prince turned out to be the most inspiring from foreign literature. Rounding out the top five are Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice and Severus Snape.
Among the heroes of Russian literature, Mikhail Bulgakov's Margarita, Erast Fandorin from Boris Akunin's detectives, and Assol from Scarlet Sails were named as role models. Also in the top five were Andrei Bolkonsky from War and Peace and Tatyana Larina from Eugene Onegin. At the same time, 15.5% of the respondents noted that they would not like to be equal to anyone from Russian literature.
