Google merges Chrome and Android password managers

Google announced a massive update to its password manager, which will finally bring a single interface for Chrome and Android. Everything is not limited to design: the manager will learn to automatically group different passwords for the same sites or applications, and a shortcut will appear on the Android home screen for quick access to these passwords.
Also on Android, Google's password checker will now flag weak and reused passwords and prompt you to change them to stronger ones. Chrome on all platforms will add notifications when one of a user's passwords has been compromised.
"In response to a popular user request," Google Password Manager on all platforms has also added the ability to manually add passwords. In addition, Chrome on iOS has learned how to generate strong passwords (but for this you will need to select Chrome as the default autofill program).
All of these innovations have already begun to roll out, but it may take several weeks before they become available to all users.
