Rover Perseverance photographed another unusual discovery on Mars

Rover Perseverance, which continues to surf the expanses of Mars, sent a photo of a new unusual find. The picture shows a mesh that is definitely of artificial origin.

On the Web, they immediately began to put forward versions of what kind of object it was. For example, Washington University in St. Louis processor Paul Byrne jokedthat this is clearly the skin of a xenomorph (an extraterrestrial race from "Aliens"). There were also options about the skin of a Martian snake and a shopping bag for products - a very necessary thing on Mars.

In fact, this is probably a small part of the Sky Crane landing platform, which was responsible for the safe descent of the rover.

The image was taken by the right MastCam-Z camera on June 23rd. It is assumed that the size of the find is about 8 centimeters.
