Honor stopped deliveries of smartphones to Russia

The Chinese manufacturer of smartphones Honor has suspended official deliveries of smartphones to Russia. About this with reference to their own sources in the telecom market write Vedomosti.
Honor did not make official statements about leaving, but the supply of gadgets from this manufacturer to Russia stopped in March. Now the brand is looking for new partners in Armenia, Georgia and Uzbekistan to arrange shipments with the help of parallel importadded source.
Experts believe that Honor refused to directly import devices to Russia because of the risk of falling under secondary sanctions. This Chinese company, like many others, decided to do it without any big announcements.
In the second quarter of this year, Honor dropped out of the top five smartphone sellers in Russia, where it ranked 5th. The leader in the number of devices sold was the Chinese Xiaomi (31%). Followed by Samsung (18%), Realme (13%), Apple (11%) and Tecno (4.4%)
According to MTS analysts, sales of Chinese smartphones in the Russian market in the second quarter will amount to more than 70% in real terms. This is a record figure: a year earlier, this share was about 50%.
