17 days from release fourth season "Stranger Things" Netflix users watched 781.04 million hours of new episodes. This made the new season the most watched English-language TV series of all time, surpassing "Bridgerton”, which previously unconditionally led the way with 656 and 625 million hours in the second and first seasons, respectively.

It is worth noting that the Netflix ratings take into account views for the first 28 days, so the final result will be even higher. Here are a few more records that the new season has already managed to break:

• Best premiere for an English-language series on Netflix: 286.79 million hours watched in the first weekend.
• This is the first English-language TV series to hit the top 10 in 91 countries at the same time (the previous record was 82 countries).
• It came in at number three on the list of the most watched TV shows just 10 days after its release, with 621.8 million hours watched.

• Became the most watched English-language Netflix series in the first week - 335.01 million hours in 7 days.

Why is it indicated almost everywhere that we are talking about records for English-language shows? Because of the huge success of The Squid Game, of course, which received 1.65 billion hours watched in its first 28 days. It is unlikely that Stranger Things will be able to achieve such indicators, but this may change with the release of the second part of the season.
