The free utility tracks body position and reminds you not to slouch.
Plunging headlong into the process of working at a computer, we rarely monitor the correct posture and often remember this when our back or neck already starts to hurt. The developers of the PodPosture application for macOS offer a way out of the situation.
It constantly monitors your position and with the help of sound signals reminds you to straighten your back as soon as you start to slouch. At first, such control can be annoying, but gradually you get used to keeping your posture, and calls bother you less and less.
Unlike analogs that use motion sensors in AirPods, PodPosture supports any headphone. Body tracking uses Bluetooth signal strength measurement. When you lean towards the computer, it intensifies, the application understands this and beeps.
To use, just select the desired device from the list, take the correct position and click Recalibrate. In the settings, you can choose the type of notification, volume, sensitivity and other parameters.
For motivation, a system of levels is provided, which are assigned while maintaining posture for several minutes. There are achievements in the Game Center and a leaderboard.
PodPosture is free, but if you want, you can support the developer and buy additional notification sounds.
