Poll: how do you deal with phone scammers?

According to the results of a survey by the analytical agency A2:Research, the majority of Russians (64%) cannot immediately recognize a phone scammer, but they can notice signs of suspicious calls. The main one is the request to transfer personal data.

Most often, scammers, under various pretexts, ask to transfer a large amount of money to the account of intruders; 62% of respondents are familiar with this type of deception. Every fifth respondent (21%) was offered to take part in the action, and 18% came across “police officers”.

• To protect themselves from fraudsters, every third Russian usually calls back banks to confirm the authenticity of information.
• 28% of respondents immediately add scam phones to the black list, and a quarter of Russians (23%) use special applications for identifying numbers for this.
• 16% of respondents admitted that because of the fear of scammers, they stopped answering calls from unknown numbers.
• And every tenth Russian likes to talk to a scammer until he gives himself away.
