Fraudsters began to deceive users with replenishment of the PlayStation Store account

Cybersecurity experts from Group-IB discovered a fraudulent scheme related to replenishing an account in the PlayStation Store. About it writes RBC.
According to experts, attackers offer Russians to buy gift voucher cards on a phishing site that misleads with a lot of fake reviews from “happy” gamers.
Deceived users were redirected to bogus payment gateways. Through them, the data of their bank cards went to scammers who could withdraw all funds from the account.
This scheme became possible after termination sales of PlayStation consoles, Sony software and hardware in Russia in early March.
In this case, users can be advised not to enter their personal information on unverified resources. This is especially true for banking data. And in the face of problems with payment for digital editions of games, you can switch to boxed versions. They are easier to buy and can be sold after passing.
