On the night of May 27, the largest asteroid (7335) of 1989 JA should fly past the Earth. According to the European Space Agency, it has a size of 932 meters. The NASA Near Earth Object Center gives a different estimate - 1.8 kilometers.

Regardless of the exact size, both agencies agree with the fact that the asteroid is on the list of potentially dangerous objects approaching the Earth. Now this boulder flies at a speed 20 times the speed of a bullet.

But worrying about the possible consequences of such a rapprochement is not worth it. The asteroid should fly at a distance of more than 4 million kilometers from the Earth, which is 10 times the distance to the moon.

It will be possible to observe the flyby mainly from the Southern Hemisphere, but it will not be possible to see the asteroid with the naked eye, you will need a telescope.
