Thing of the day: BioRestore - an enzyme powder that restores damaged clothes in one wash

An interesting new project has appeared on Kickstarter: BioRestore laundry detergent, which restores faded clothes and eliminates pellets. According to the creators, this solution will allow you to use clothes longer and reduce the amount of waste you produce.

Enzymes are responsible for this effect, which identify and remove damaged villi and fabric fibers on the surface of clothing and deep within the structure of the fabric. As a result, everything superfluous can be removed from the clothes, returning the structure of the fabric to its original form.

BoioRestore is made with just 6 ingredients (according to the manufacturer, all are approved for use by US and European regulators) and has no overt odor or color. It also does not contain silicones, softeners or bleach, which leave a layer of chemicals on the surface of washed clothes.

It works like a normal washing powder. Enough sort clothesthat needs to be restored, by color (as for normal washing), pour BioRestore into the washing tray machine at the rate of one sachet per 350 g of laundry and start washing in cotton mode (2-3 hours at a temperature 40°C).

The creators emphasize that their tool is still not magical and is not able to cope with fixing holes or worn out clothes. In addition, it will only work with items that are 50-100% cotton. BioRestore will not cope with fully synthetic fabrics - just like with animal fibers like wool, cashmere or silk.

Mixed fabrics (for example, 50/50 cotton and polyester) can be washed: in this case, the cotton fibers will be restored, and the appearance of the polyester will remain unchanged.

One box of the product (it contains 3 bags) is able to restore up to 5-6 items of adult clothing or up to 10 items of children's clothing (or about 1 kg of dry laundry). It will not be cheap: the cost varies from 12 to 26 dollars per box, depending on the number of packages ordered. You can pre-order on Kickstarter, sending orders is scheduled for August.
