Apple Watch SE 2 pricing and specs revealed

Coming out in 2020 Apple Watch SE, the manufacturer's first smart watch in the mid-price category. Now Apple is ready to release an updated version with up-to-date characteristics. how informs edition of iDropNews, insiders who have seen the prototypes talk about the complete external conformity of the gadget to the first generation, and all the differences come down to filling and prices.

Specifically, the 40mm model will start at $299, while the 44mm version will cost $329 for the base trim. For comparison, the first generation costs $279 and $309, respectively.

The S7 processor will be responsible for performance - the same one is used in the current Apple Watch Series 7. Also, the novelty will receive the Always On mode, improved sound and support for the ECG function, which was previously available only in flagship models.

Considering the changes in specs, the price increase doesn't sound all that dramatic: in fact, you'll get a decent alternative to the Apple Watch 7 with a starting price of $299 instead of $399.

The presentation of the Apple Watch Series 8 and SE 2 is expected to take place in mid-September simultaneously with the announcement of the iPhone 14.
