Huawei has officially unveiled its new foldable smartphone Mate Xs 2, which retains the form factor of its predecessor, Mate Xs.
The novelty received a large 7.8-inch OLED screen that folds outward, turning the gadget into a more classic smartphone with a 6.5-inch screen. There is stylus support.
Unfolded, the aspect ratio is 8:7.1 at a resolution of 2480×2200 pixels. The refresh rate is 120 Hz. The body is made using titanium alloy and lightweight carbon fiber.
Inside - Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 with 8 or 12 RAM (LPDDR5) and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory (UFS 3.1). Communication capabilities are limited to 4G networks, as Huawei is deprived of access to 5G modems due to sanctions.
For the autonomy of the Mate Xs 2, a 4,880 mAh battery with 66 W charging is responsible. According to the manufacturer, in 30 minutes the smartphone can be charged from 0 to 90%.
The main camera includes three sensors: a 50MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The front module is 10.7 MP.
With all this, the thickness of the main part of the body in the unfolded state is only 5.4 mm, and when folded - 11 mm. The Mate Xs 2 weighs 255 grams.
The device runs on proprietary HarmonyOS 2. Prices start from the mark of 9,999 yuan (≈110,100 rubles). The novelty will be available in three colors.
