Sennheiser launches Sport True Wireless headphones
Miscellaneous / / April 23, 2022
For those who are annoyed by the sounds of the heartbeat and their own steps.
Sennheiser has unveiled the new Sport True Wireless headphones. They don't offer active noise cancellation, instead relying on a combination of special adapters and equalizer settings to block out sounds - either external or internal.
Focus EQ with closed overlays allows you to achieve an effect similar to conventional noise reduction - the user "turns off" external sounds to focus on training.
More interesting is the Aware EQ mode with a bunch of open overlays. It lets in some of the surrounding sounds so that you understand what is happening nearby, but at the same time reduces the volume of distracting body sounds - heartbeat, steps, etc. In the Sennheiser Smart Control app, you can create your own EQ profiles and adjust the level ambient noise.
The headphones are equipped with 7mm drivers, which, according to the manufacturer, offer deep bass and excellent clarity without distortion. They support touch control and work with voice assistants. Bluetooth 5.2 is used for connection, SBC, AAC and aptX codecs are supported.
When using the charging case, autonomy reaches 18 hours, the headphones themselves work up to 9 hours without recharging. The case is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP54 standard.
The Sennheiser Sport True Wireless will go on sale May 3rd for $130. The package includes tips in three sizes and four types of "fins" for additional attachment in the ear.
