Lithuanian engineer showed a drone interceptor that shoots a net

It literally splits in two right in the air.
Engineer from Lithuania Aleksey Zaitsevsky introduced quadcopter Drone Interceptor, which is designed to catch other drones. To do this, he uses an unusual network ejection technology.
The Drone Interceptor is made up of racing drone components and features a very high power-to-weight ratio. This allows him to quickly start, achieve the goal and, if necessary, neutralize it.
The device includes two cameras: a side camera for assessing the target and an upward one for positioning under it. The picture from the camera is broadcast to the operator, and if he gives the command to capture, then the following happens:
- The Drone Interceptor is placed below the target.
- On command, the drone's four propellers rapidly gain momentum and detach from the hull, carrying a Kevlar net in its wake.
- The net gets caught in the propellers of another drone and causes it to fall.
- The main body of the Drone Interceptor, without its propellers, also falls to the ground, but it deploys a small automatic parachute, reducing the risk of damage during a hard landing.
- When on the ground, the Interceptor emits a loud beep to make it easier to find for later use.
The creator of such an interceptor envisions a scenario in which ground patrol vehicles will be equipped with several interceptor drones, each of which will be in its own launcher container. Whenever a drone that violated the border is seen in the restricted area, the driver or operator could stop and send one of the interceptors after it.
