Sometimes the search for your favorite profession turns into a long and confusing journey. Unfortunately, not all of us are well aware of our strengths and understand what we would like to do. If you are not sure which direction you should develop in and what profession suits you, Holland's method may come to the rescue.
What is Holland code
American psychologist John Holland believed that a person's personality is determined by his individual interests and approach to different life situations. Depending on this, the specialist identified six types of personality. But, since each of us is multifaceted, it is impossible to limit ourselves to only one category. Therefore, three dominant types should be taken into account, which add up to the personal “Holland code”.
In addition, the psychologist was sure that this principle can be used to characterize not only people, but also professional areas. And if we compare one classification with another, it will help to choose most suitable occupation for man.
What types of personality identified Holland
1. Realistic
This type prefers specific tasks. Such people like to work alone or with the same "realists". They always focus on the present, do not like to make forecasts and make plans for the future. The more clearly the task is formulated, the easier it is for the realistic type to cope with it.

5. Entrepreneurial
"Entrepreneurs" like the role of leader. They are true extroverts who love challenging tasks. This type is distinguished by its energy and dominance, which sometimes develops into aggression. Such individuals do not really like manual labor, but they take on intellectual tasks with great enthusiasm.
