Russian users lost access to Times New Roman and Arial fonts

Lawyers believe that the fonts themselves can still be used.
The American company Monotype, which owns the rights to the Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana, Tahoma and Helvetica fonts, has blocked access to its website library for Russian users.
Myself website Monotype from Russia opens, but page with fonts is closed - a message appears that the site owner may have set restrictions that prevent access. With VPN everything works without problems.
Closing access to the Monotype font catalog is not a ban on Russian users from using them, noted lawyers interviewed by Vedomosti.
So far, this does not mean that publishing houses in the Russian Federation, software manufacturers and other persons are automatically deprived of the right to use the results of Monotype's intellectual activity, however in the foreseeable future, this may lead to the fact that their use will become impossible, said Yury, managing partner of the law firm Enterprise Legal Solutions Fedyukin.
